The Allotment Rules are issued by the PG&AA committee and apply to all plot holders. These rules came into effect 2nd April 2023. (Rule 1, Acceptance of a Plot, was revised on 9th April 2025).

- turn taps off after use
- read notices posted at the gates

- dispose of non-compostable and non-burnable waste off site (at home, at a council tip or by hiring a skip)
- request permission in writing from the Site Manager before erecting sheds, greenhouses, ploytunnels, fruit cages, etc.
You must not:
- sell or trade produce for commercial gain

- leave non-compostable materials in the Green Waste area
Access
You must not let another person on site who is not personally known to you. This includes access for deliveries of woodchip and manure.
If you have arranged to meet someone at Penn Road Allotments, it is your responsibility to let them on to the site.
Children on site
It’s great to see children on site – hopefully learning about where their food comes from! But we do want all children to be safe when they are on site as there are many hazards on site both visible and hidden.
If children are coming with you to your plot please adhere to the following:
- Children must at all times be under the control of the adult with whom they have come to the allotment site with
- Adults who bring children on to site must accompany the child when and if the child leaves the area of the adults plot.
- Adults bringing children onto site are personally responsible for the supervision, control and behaviour of the children.
Dogs on site
Dogs must be kept on leads and be kept under control at all times and must not be allowed to roam onto other plots without the plot holder’s permission. Please clean up after your dog.
Structures
Sheds, greenhouses, small polytunnels and fruit cages are allowed but there are some rules around the positioning, size and number of structures plot holders are allowed to construct – speak to the Site Manager for approval before erecting any structures.
Bees & livestock
Our Management Agreement with City of Wolverhampton Council does not allow for animals, birds, fish, amphibians or reptiles to be kept on the allotment site without permission of the council.
