A green waste area (plot 20-21) is available for any weeds or unwanted vegetation that you are not able to compost on your own plot. Please note:
- Do not leave any non-compostable materials in the green waste area
- Do not bring green waste from home
Any plot holder found to be disposing of non-compostable waste in the green waste area risks losing entitlement to their plot with immediate effect.
You can dispose of:
- Weeds
- Unwanted vegetation
- Twigs and thin branches
You must not dispose of:
- Glass
- Plastic
- Wood
- Metal
- Weed membrane
- Netting
- Refuse bags
- Litter
- Any other non-compostable materials
- Green waste brought to the site from home or elsewhere
Other waste
Bonfires are permitted at specific times and only for certain waste materials. Please follow our rules and guidance around what can be burned and when bonfires are allowed.
We do not offer a facility to dispose of plot holders’ general waste. All other waste should be taken home or disposed of at the council tips.
