Penn Road Allotments in Wolverhampton spans three acres and is split into full, half and quarter size plots that people can rent to grow fruit, vegetables and flowers for themselves and their families.

Benefits on site

The allotment site is gated and well maintained by the committee and plot holders. It has an accessible toilet, an allotment shop, mains water taps at regular intervals along the central paths and a green waste area. When they are available, the site takes deliveries of horse manure and wood chip which are both free to use. Plot holders are allowed a shed and either a greenhouse or polytunnel for growing and storage on their plot.

Getting here

Situated directly off the the A449 Penn Road, the site is 1.7 miles south-west of Wolverhampton city centre. It has on-site parking and is also accessible by bus. The no. 16 Wolverhampton – Stourbridge bus stops directly outside the main gates.

Penn Gardeners & Allotments Association

The site is self-managed by a committee of plot holders under the name ‘Penn Gardeners & Allotments Association’ who have a management agreement with City of Wolverhampton Council.

We welcome individuals, plot shares and families and our community consists of people of all ages, gardening styles and abilities, from complete newcomers to seasoned gardeners.
